If you are one of the many, many gamers who are aiming to reach max-Prestige in Modern Warfare 3, that task is about to take 50% longer!

As it stands currently, you are required to slog through 800 ranks and 10 levels of Prestige to reach the end of the road in Modern Warfare 3. Thats about to increase to 1200 ranks and 15 Prestige levels when five new Prestige levels are added to the game soon, making the road to max-Prestige 50% longer.

These changes are already live on the PC version of Modern Warfare 3 and coming soon for both console versions.

A Modern Warfare 3 patch for the PC a few days ago has added five new prestige levels to the game, raising the level needed to reset stats to 15. In addition, a discovery from MP1st has revealed 10 new prestige emblems were added to the PC versions game files, meaning an eventual move to 20 prestige levels will come.

Late last night we finally got official word from Infinity Ward, as Robert Bowling tweeted:


There is no word as to when the prestige levels will be added to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, but the new five levels will also raise the maximum console prestige level to 15 as well. However, with the finding of 10 new emblems in the PC version, it leads us to believe that eventually the maximum prestige will be raised to 20 and maybe further.

The emblems bellow have been confirmed to be the new emblems for the PC version or atleast the first one is confirmed. They look stupid but hey what can we do about it......
